BIOGRAPHY
I am currently a clinical intern completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP). Prior to this masters program I completed an undergrad in psychology from the University of Victoria and have continually worked as a social worker in various positions. This experience has provided me with many skills I hope to bring into this new role.
I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their challenges and strengths. Drawing from a client-centered approach, I value building strong therapeutic relationships and tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual.
As I am currently completing my practicum placement, I am actively refining my clinical skills under the supervision of experienced professionals. I am focusing on evidence-based practices, and am interested in integrating modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Techniques, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I am particularly passionate about working with individuals navigating stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I am also interested in exploring how experiential therapies, such as mindfulness and expressive arts, can support emotional healing and resilience.
I am committed to fostering an environment where clients feel empowered to set goals, build coping strategies, and achieve personal growth.
Outside of my work I enjoy getting outside and exploring the outdoors, traveling and spending time with my family and little cat Pike.
